HNTB Corporation is currently seeking an Engineer II-Traffic Engineer located in our Salt Lake City, Utah office.
Participate in collection and analysis of data and preparation of traffic designs.
Provide direction to drafting personnel in preparing design drawings.
Perform design calculations (appropriate to discipline), conduct investigative analyses toward completion of assigned design tasks, and direct preparation of design drawings and/or specifications.
Perform technical analysis on assigned tasks in the areas of traffic engineering, traffic data analysis, traffic signal design, Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) design, and traffic signal operations, signing and striping, Maintenance of Traffic (MOT).
Perform simulation modeling of roadway systems and networks using SYNCHRO and VISSIM.
Develop engineering plans, specifications, estimates, and reports. Review same as completed by others to confirm that these items are complete, accurate, and in accordance with good engineering practice.
Calculation of construction quantity estimates.
Work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
Engineer In Training(EIT)
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
Career interest in traffic engineering
1-4 years of experience.
