This month’s luncheon will be held on the fourth Thursday of the month, February 23, 2016, at the Chinese Gourmet (4500 S State St). Speaker will be Maria Vyas (Fehr & Peers) with an update on the Wasatch Front Central Corridor Study (WFCCS).
The Mountain Accord program is seeking consulting assistance with transportation, outreach, and funding/finance. The next phase of the program will focus on short-term transportation solutions, while continuing to evaluate long-term options and progressing land preservation and recreation components of the Accord (see Executive Board documents for more information, specifically Decision Memo 7 at http://mountainaccord.com/past-meeting-minutes/).
Please check the website (under “Contact”) in the next few days and weeks for Requests for Qualifications/ Proposals for the following:
• Transportation/ GIS – identifying and evaluating short-term transportation solutions for Cottonwoods that do not require major construction; conceptual engineering and preliminary evaluation of impacts for long term transportation options; GIS/mapping services
• Public Outreach – developing overall communication strategy and plan, including key audiences; analyzing public opinion
• Funding/Finance – analyzing financial implications of various fee programs, identifying long-term funding sources for bus service and stewardship programs, evaluating cost-effectiveness of long-term transportation options, assisting with program budgeting and reporting
