March 2016 Luncheon Speakers

Posted by on Mar 11, 2016 in Calendar Of Events |

Please join us next Tuesday, March 15, for a presentation by Marc Bowman (UTA) and Bill Knowles (W.A. Knowles Company) discussing public involvement strategies for the South Davis Transit Study. Please note the venue for this luncheon will be: King Buffet, 5668 Redwood Rd, Taylorsville. The presentation will begin at 12:15, so please arrive early to get your lunch.

“The 2010 South Davis Transit Study was not able to develop a recommended transit project that was supported by the public or local elected leaders.  In 2013 UTA initiated a new South Davis Transit Study.  The study used a comprehensive public involvement strategy to work with the public and local elected leaders to find a transit project that could be supported.  The study completed in 2014 with a positive endorsement by all local governments and no controversy with the public.  The presentation will discuss the public and agency involvement strategies used to take a project from controversy to success.”
